Eva Samalea
Architect
I am an architect working globally across private, humanitarian, and development sectors—designing spaces and systems that support well-being, resilience, and connection. From intimate homes to post-disaster recovery, my work weaves together care, innovation, and purpose.
Designing with purpose.
Living with intention.
Architecture in service of humanity
Across continents and contexts, I’ve walked alongside people navigating moments of transition—whether rebuilding after disaster, responding to displacement, or creating a more intentional home. My humanitarian experience spans natural hazards, public health emergencies like Ebola and COVID-19, and complex conflict settings. In these environments, I’ve contributed by finding design-based solutions to complex challenges, offering technical guidance, building local capacity, and facilitating coordination among diverse stakeholders.
Green Living Harmony
In the private sector, I work with individuals and families to create homes that are aesthetic, aligned, and guided by nature-based solutions. My approach integrates biophilic design, Feng Shui, and natural materials with architectural precision—shaping spaces that hold who you are and support who you are becoming.
My purpose
Whether I’m facilitating a workshop, designing a bamboo prototype, or co-creating a sanctuary for someone’s next chapter, I approach each project with a blend of sensitivity and strategy. I carry a deep respect for place, people, and process—offering clarity, presence, and regeneration at every level.
This path allows me to hold both vision and detail, the emotional and the structural, the traditional and the innovative. It is about creating spaces that serve life—through beauty, harmony, and conscious collaboration.
This work is never done alone. It grows through shared vision, mutual care, and collective wisdom.
At the heart of my practice is Elena Espinosa, a young architect with a special focus on urban design and planning. Her experience in participatory initiatives and international cooperation has nurtured a thoughtful and skillful approach to community engagement, ensuring that every project honors diverse voices and lived experiences.
We also collaborate with a wide network of architects, engineers, designers, artists, environmentalists, facilitators, builders, researchers, and community leaders, each contributing their expertise to projects that call for both depth and integrity. Together, we cultivate environments that are not only functional and beautiful, but rooted in care.
